With our dedicated team of entomologists within our organization, we have embarked on a diverse breeding research program which covers various other arthropods and invertebrates. We have planed to collaborate with SERI Malaysia (Science in Education and Research Institute) to turn P.B.F into also an E.R&D. (Educational research and Development) centre which will hopefully also bring more life into our Children’s Club (namely Caterpillar Club respectively) set up by Penang Butterfly Farm in the early 90’.

There have been many educational programs organized by us since many years back covering age group from 2 years old to graduates. To name a few, our Story Telling for kindergarten, Science Project for family orientated year long program, Be A Breeder Program, Packaged school program for Primary/Secondary and College, Annual Nature Hunt and most of all our Caterpillar Club Quarterly Event from trail hiking to wild camping. All these communication is done through our Caterpillar Club News letter which is open to children as well as adults. All these activities are possible with the collaboration from T.E.H.’s scientific expertise and B & I’s scientific educational materials.

Still there are a lot more to do for the up coming younger generations of today who are increasingly I.T. inclined rather than having wider interest in nature.
